InVersion Festival 2022
A first for LOU Rugby
The very first InVersion Festival took place on 17 and 18 June at the Matmut Stadium in Gerland, Lyon. To organise the first festival to be held in the stadium, the production company Olympia Production collaborated with the LOU Rugby Club (of which GL events is the majority shareholder) to deliver two days of festivities.
The Festival gave pride of place to urban music, with top artists such as Orelsan, Stromae and the Black Eyed Peas.

The Group provided several services throughout the stadium for the festival:
- Ground protection: 10,600m² of protective panels installed on the Matmut Stadium’s pitch, in order to receive festival-goers on the pitch area
- Signage: arches, structures, fences, etc.
- General contracting: overlays and outfitting services for the musicians’ dressing rooms, the Festival Village and the pitch area
- Power distribution: use of an electro-hydrogen generator (in partnership with Air Liquide for the hydrogen supply) at the Inversion Festival
- Hospitality/event staffing: management of the festival-goers and hospitality

The GL events Group draws on its expertise to deliver the festival
The Group put its know-how in various areas – such as signage, audiovisual services and hospitality/event staffing – to good use to help deliver the festival.
Notably, this event provided the first opportunity to use one of the Group’s electro-hydrogen generators, in partnership with Air Liquide. Manufactured in France, this new type of power generator has several advantages: it is ultra-quiet, odourless and does not produce any polluting emissions on site.
