Bourg-la-Reine, a preparation centre for 2024
After being awarded the Terre de Jeux label and designated as a Games Preparation Centre for 2024, the town of Bourg-La-Reine (Hauts-de-Seine department) decided to extend its sports facilities, devoted to fencing and martial arts.
On 9 July 2020, the Town Council approved the project to rebuild their sports centre devoted to martial arts and fencing and to partially renovate their gymnasium, as well as the Halle des Sports des Bas-Coquarts (sports hall).

A 3,500 m² development project
GL events has been commissioned to carry out the project, which involves rebuilding and renovating 3,500 m² of sports infrastructures, to be delivered in the summer of 2023.
This sports complex will include three combat areas devoted to judo, twenty fencing pistes and all the additional areas required to ensure the sports activities can be carried out in optimum conditions: reception hall, changing rooms, offices, tiered seating and car parking facilities. The existing dojos will be transformed into a space for practising combat sports and the fitness area will be converted into a physical preparation centre. The entire sports complex will be accessible to people with reduced mobility.
