The event dedicated to the recovery of the exhibition and event industry
Restart Expo is an event designed to showcase to the South African government, industry, media, exhibitors and visitors what exhibitions and trade fairs will look like post COVID-19. This new event created by Specialized Exhibitions and Johannesburg Expo Centre (a venue managed by the GL events Group) will take place on 25 and 26 November 2020.
With the easing of restrictions in South Africa, trade fairs and events can again be organised safely, with all the COVID-19 health and safety measures in place.
Restart Expo's objective is to restore confidence in the event industry by demonstrating that events can be held by deploying and applying the requisite health and safety protocols.
This event will highlight to the South African government the distinction between mass gatherings and professional events.
A phygital event
Exhibitors' stands, an area devoted to seminars, a meeting area and a business lounge will be set up. In addition to the "physical" event at the Johannesburg Expo Center, the interactive seminar programme will also be available online through live broadcasting.
In its 50 venues in France and in the world, the Group have implemented health security measures and facilities to prevent Covid-19 risks.
