85th Metz International Fair
The Metz International Fair (FIM) will take place from 25 September to 5 October 2020 at the Metz Métropole Exhibition Park. Organised by Metz Expo Événements, the Metz International Fair has established itself over the years as a major fixture in the event calendar for whole generations. Created in 1928, the annual visit to the Fair has become a habit among the local population and an integral part of regional culture due to its long-standing success.
Eleven days devoted to business and great deals
Lasting eleven days, the Metz International Fair is a vibrant economic hub that brings together a wide variety of businesses and institutions from the Greater Eastern region of France. This year, it will cover a total of 50,000m² of exhibition space with 350 stands. Visitors will be able to discover products and services from many sectors of activity, such as building and home improvement, furniture and decoration, household products, gardening, swimming pools, food and wine, crafts, professional services, well-being and beauty, new technologies, agriculture and more. This year, the Fair will be placing the spotlight on a new area: the Metz New Mobility Show with 3,500m² dedicated to electric & hybrid cars, electric bicycles, equipment and services.
Events, activities and exhibitions on the programme
During the Fair, many activities and events will be organised for visitors, such as The Voice Showcase and the parade of mascots. Several personalities will also be attending the show, such as Miss France 2020, Avy Marciano, who stars in the famous French sitcoms "Sous le soleil" and "Plus Belle la Vie", and the comedian Booder who will be presenting his new book. In addition, the Fair will have a dedicated media centre, bringing together the major media partners who will making live broadcasts and conducting interviews and conferences.
This year, the FIM will showcase "La Moselle Déracinée" (The Moselle Uprooted), an original exhibition designed in conjunction with the Moselle Département. Covering more than 1,000m², it presents the history of the Moselle region from 1939-1940.
A Fair that has been redesigned for added security
The Metz Events team has redesigned the layout and put in place a new health and safety protocol with a more agile organisational structure for this year's Fair. This will ensure more efficient traffic flow and, of course, the health and safety of both visitors and exhibitors.
The Metz International Fair is acknowledged as one of the main International Fairs in France and the leading Fair in the Saar-Lor-Lux Region and the North-Eastern part of France!
