GL events, service provider to COP27
From 7 to 18 November, Egypt will be hosting the COP27, also known as the Charm el-Sheikh Conference, which aims to collectively tackle the issues of climate change.
The Group, service provider to those COP:
- COP17 : Durban Conference, South Africa
- COP20 : Lima Conference, Peru
- COP21 : Paris Conference, France
- COP22 : Marrakech Conference, Morocco
- COP23 : Bonn Conference, Germany
- COP24 : Katowice Conference, Poland
- COP25 : Madrid Conference, Spain
- COP26 : Glasgow Conference, Scotland
is also providing services to COP27.
Consulting: one of GL events' services
The Group was commissioned to provide assistance and advice to define the requirements of COP27, for a total amount of €4 million.
This service included:
- Consulting services for Global Conference Management
- Project management
- Design services
- Definition of the UNFCCC's (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) requirements and standard supplier services
- Operational management
- Risk management services
- Accomodation
GL events is also in charge of providing the pavilions for the delegations and other stakeholders in the COP27
The Group will therefore be providing the following services:
- Event space reservation
- General contracting for the event space
- Layout design for the pavilions and offices
- Cost assessment and technical studies
- Production, assembly and dismantling
- On-site technical assistance
- Reception and hospitality staffing services
