The meeting place for the publishing sector
The International Book Fair of Turin (Salone Internazionale del Libro di Torino) returns for its 34th edition and takes place from 19 to 23 May 2022 at the Lingotto Fiere.
For five days, the event will be attended by all professionals in the sector, from publishers to authors and booksellers. They will have the opportunity to present their latest works and to meet the many readers expected this year.
An edition with the theme "Wild Hearts" (Cuori Selvaggi)
This year's Turin International Book Fair has the theme "Wild Hearts", referring to the courage required to look to the future in these difficult times.
The conference by the writer Amitav Ghosh on the themes of the environment and health marks the opening of the fair on Thursday 19 May, in collaboration with the publishing house Neri Pozza.
The fair is expanding and new areas are being created
Following the success of its previous edition, the Turin International Book Fair is expanding and now has 110,000 sqm of exhibition space.
Among the new features this year is a new area called the Publishing Wood (Bosco degli Edizioni) created by Aboca Edizioni. This 200 square metre amphitheatre houses over 1000 trees, plants and shrubs to immerse visitors in presentations and debates on major environmental issues.
