GL events had the honor of receiving the Kréa Award – Company of the Year, a prestigious recognition celebrating creativity, innovation, and responsible commitment in the events industry. Presented by Meet-In, this award acknowledges our dedication to fostering a more sustainable event sector, particularly through the concrete actions implemented as part of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

PARIS 2024: A CSR ACCELERATOR FOR GL EVENTS

For over 45 years, GL events has been designing temporary event solutions while integrating a long-term sustainability vision. The Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games provided a unique opportunity to accelerate and expand our commitments to corporate social and environmental responsibility.

 

 

CONCRETE COMMITMENTS FOR A POSITIVE IMPACT

GL events has set ambitious objectives to minimize the environmental footprint of its services and promote the circular economy within the event industry. Key actions include:

 / 100% of materials used for temporary structures and infrastructures at the Games will have a second life, thanks to reuse, repurposing, and recycling strategies.
 / More than 350 products have been inventoried for recycling post-event, with improvements in their repairability.
 / A rental-based inventory management approach to maximize material reuse and limit overproduction.
 / A responsible procurement policy, incorporating deforestation prevention and carbon footprint reduction.
 / Waste recovery initiatives, in collaboration with local stakeholders and enterprises from the adapted sector (Gesat network) and the social and solidarity economy (ESS).
 / A commitment to biodiversity, by adapting our installations to protect ecosystems.

This award not only honors our efforts towards a more responsible event industry but also highlights the outstanding work of GL events' ESG teams, who are dedicated to advancing our environmental and social policies every day.
