The trade fair devoted to the future of events industry and business tourism
Following the first Expo Retomada held at São Paulo Expo, a second instalment of the trade fair was organised on 11 November 2020 at the Salvador Convention Centre, in the north-west of Brazil. Organised and hosted by GL events, this trade fair is specifically devoted to business recovery in the events industry and business tourism sector.
Solutions adapted to the "new norm"
Protocols, innovations and emerging trends are the key focus of the event. Expo Retomada aims to demonstrate how events can successfully apply health and safety protocols to combat Covid-19. With this in mind, key players in Brazil's regional and national event markets presented tangible cases of successful events that were held during the pandemic, and explained the various measures that event organisers need to adopt in line with the "new norm" of the new post-pandemic world. Every stage of the process was addressed, from the initial planning to specific details, such as the assembly and dismantling of event structures, or participant accreditation. The aim is to demonstrate how organisers can deploy efficient health and safety measures while delivering successful events.
New market trends such as digitisation and hybrid event formats were also presented during the fair.
