With centuries of ancestral traditions that coexist alongside cutting-edge technological innovation, Japan is a genuine centre of knowledge and creative inspiration. Japan has several industrial clusters and is a driving force for research and development in many industries.

Aichi Japan's gateway to the world

Aichi Prefecture is a major hub for research and development and Japan's leading industrial region (7.2% of GDP). The area is home to the headquarters of many leading companies (automotive, aeronautics, robotics). Thanks to its location in central Japan and its 7.5 million inhabitants, Aichi has excellent access to the rail network (high-speed train), motorways, seaways (with the port of Nagoya) and air transport with Chubu Centrair International Airport.

In 2027, the "Chuo Shinkansen" line will open making the journey between Tokyo and Nagoya just 40 minutes... Drawing on these assets, the region attracts many international events such as the 2019 Rugby World Cup, The World Robot Summit and The Asian Game Tournament 2026. With its strategic location and economic strength, the region has established itself as Japan's gateway to the world.
